A Guide to CONWAY'S Coffee Roasting
The Roast Spectrum
Color · Character · Craft
Every roast tells a story written in color. From the pale warmth of Fawn to the deep mystery of Sable, our spectrum gives you a new language for understanding what’s in your cup.
Know Your Roast
Three names, one roast. Whether you’re a casual coffee lover or a seasoned connoisseur, you’ll always find your way.
Understanding your cup
What is body?
Body describes how coffee feels in the mouth — its weight, texture, and thickness. Where flavour tells you what you taste, body tells you how it sits. A light-bodied coffee feels clean and almost tea-like; a full-bodied one coats the tongue, lingering like warm cream.
Body is shaped by dissolved oils and solids in the brew. More of them means more weight. Darker roasts release more oils; brewing methods like French press keep them in the cup, while paper filters trap them out.
Does it feel watery or substantial? Think skim milk versus cream.
Does it glide across the tongue or coat and cling to the palate?
Does it vanish quickly or linger with a syrupy, slow finish?
